Each apartment has a front and back door, central air conditioning, drapes/blinds, carpet, stove, refrigerator, disposal, tub/shower combo, and emergency bells/lights. Water and trash disposal and a utility (all electric) allowance are also included.

Adrian has a population of less than 2,000 people - one in five of whom is over age 65.  Two in five of its households struggle with a high ‘housing cost burden,’ meaning they spend more than 30% of monthly income for housing.  The 34 homes for low-income seniors at Houston Plaza are the only rent-subsidized housing in Adrian and because the property has a project-based Section 8 contract, its apartments will remain affordable.
